They say everything happens for a reason, and truer words couldn’t have been spoken when Kyal and I found ourselves at Whitehart Bar in Melbourne. After surviving the crowds at the annual AFL Grand Final parade, we headed to our favourite lunch spot, only to find it closed. We were desperate for a feed, but I have a strict “no fast food” rule when we’re in the city. Basically f it’s food I can order back home, it’s a no go. So we decided to wander the streets in search of a nibble. Heading down Little Bourke Street, we both happened to turn our heads down a laneway. The bar we spotted immediately caught our eye, and once we saw (and smelt) Bluebonnet Barbecue serving up scrumptious meat plates, our decision was made.
