If there’s warm sunshine on a Sunday in Fremantle, I can guarantee you that South Terrace will be swarming with bike riders and dog walkers heading to and fro from South Beach. Chuck in some grumbling tummies that are ready for a decent breakfast, and Fremantle comes alive on weekend mornings.
Rabbit in the Moon | Perth
Tucked away in North Fremantle, right near the edge of the Swan River, is Rabbit in the Moon cafe. Aesthetically, RitM was not what I expected. I don’t know why but I was expecting something grungy yet retro, like a cafe set up in Foreman’s Basement from That 70s Show. Instead it’s Perth’s very own rabbit hole that leads you to Alice’s Wonderland: white and bright with quirky hints of yellow, porcelain rabbits and miniature tea cups, nutcrackers and babushka dolls, lights hanging in whisks and petals scattered over plates. It was all kinds of crazy and cute all in the one room.Read More »
Ootong & Lincoln | Perth
A trip to Ootong & Lincoln has been long overdue for me. Over two years ago I added it to my Brunch Bucket List and today I finally had the chance to check it out with my two best pals (who also happen to be my brunch sidekicks).
O & L is versatile. Whether you’re after catering, interested in brunch or are keen on a healthy treat while you’re on the go, O & L’s perfect for everyone’s needs. Located on South Terrace, below the popular Cappuccino Strip, O & L is a part of what I like to call the South Freo Trio, which also consists of Little Lefroy’s and Roasting Warehouse (notable mentions on my Brunch Bucket List). While they aren’t in the heart of Fremantle, they are definitely favoured by locals.
